Remote backup of file servers using DPM.
The DPM server enables remote backups over the VPN network through fast backups that capture byte-level changes to files. This speed allows for synchronization between the file server and the DPM server every hour, protecting data even during business hours. Additionally, in the event of an emergency with the file server, the DPM server can be used temporarily as a substitute for the protected file server. The DPM server provides continuity by allowing restoration to a state from at least one hour ago, achieving quick and reliable recovery from disk to disk.
